REMEMBERING JEANETTE
REMEMBERING JEANETTE WILLIAMS
REMEMBERING JEANETTE
On November 28, 1960 God sent one of his most beloved daughters to this world. Her name was Ms. Jeanette Hamilton Williams. She was born to the late Ernest and Louise Hamilton where she was one of 7 children. Jennie as she was called was cherished by her family and close friends, and loved by many.
Jeanette was educated at Abraham Lincoln Jr. Sr High School where she was in an accelerated program and graduated in 1978. She was previously employed by the United States Postal Service where she served dutifully for twenty years before leaving to pursue her passion for creating delicious homestyle meals. Her gift for cooking and creating amazing recipes passed down from her mother which guided her to the decision to make her dream come true. She is the proud owner of Mikki’s Cafe Soul Food & Catering located at 10500 W.Bellfort St. which originated from her home catering business which flourished into a successful restaurant business. The restaurant is loved dearly by many & will remain a staple of service to the community as a way to honor her legacy.
Sis. Williams accepted Christ as her savior at Fifth Ward Church of Christ and truly loved the Lord. She later became a dedicated member of Missouri City Church of Christ under the ministry of Amram Joyner. She loved to cook, travel, and cherished the bond she had with her family. She was proceeded in death by Ernest Hamilton (Father), Louise Hamilton (Mother), Ernest Hamilton Jr. (Brother), Anthony Hamilton (Brother), Rudrow Hamilton (Brother).
On Sunday morning, January 20, 2019 God looked down and decided her destiny had been fulfilled on earth and it was time to take her rightful place by his side. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory forever: a son, Craig Joseph (Tasha); daughter, Jeanelle; adored grandchildren Kelis, Kyle, Craig III and Cori; three sisters Sarah Smith (Carl Sr.), Katherine Hamilton, Ann Hamilton Powell (Todd); nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
